The Legend of Chinese Gender Chart

The Chinese have a unique way to determine the gender of their future children. They use the Chinese Gender Chart to do it. It is a chart that predicts the gender of baby by cross referencing the month of conception, the date of conception and the mother’s age. That is how to use it. The basic understanding is that women of the same age give the impression more likely to give the birth children of the same gender. On the other hand, some women use the Chinese chart to plan the child’s gender. So it can be used to predict the baby’s gender, or it can be used as arrangement for your future child.

According to the legend which is an urban legend possibly, the ChineseGender Chart was found in a tomb of Chinese royal over 700 years ago. It has been used to predict the baby’s sex. Legend said that the chart had been invented at the early era of the Qing dynasty around 1644 – 1912 AD. The chart was created with the help of I Ching which included the Eight Trigrams, the five elements, and Ying Yang symbols. The location of royal tomb where the chart was found is near Beijing. Today, the original chart is kept in Peking for further scientific study in the Institute of Science.

Actually, there is a reason why the Chinese invented this chart. From the history of China, male children were preferred by the Chinese. The only reason was because males were stronger than females physically. In the history of ancient Chinese society, boys could help their family by doing hard duties so that the boys were capable to make more money than girls. On the other hand, the girls must stay at home until they were matured, about sixteen or seventeen years old. Of course, the girls could not make any money. On the contrary, parents had to spend more expense until they would be taken by their husbands. Because of it, the ancient Chinese emperors really concerned about their future children. They really wanted male children as the heir of their throne. Even though there is no report saying that it is accurate, many people still use this method up to now. From the feedback of them who already use it, most of them said that it is accurate.
When you are trying to use the Chinese Gender Chart, you must remember that the Chinese have their own way to count their age by using Chinese lunar month. So if you want to use it, make sure you already convert your lunar age into the Chinese lunar month. If you don’t convert your age first, the result seems to be incorrect. Moreover, you should put the date of conception correctly. If you miscalculate it, the result will also be incorrect. You can find many different versions of the chart that are available online.
There are two main versions of The Chinese Gender Chart. The first one is the ancient chart and the other is the modern chart. To use the ancient chart is quite easy. You can predict the gender of your unborn child by cross referencing the chart. Find the age of the conception. The numbers are located across the top of the chart. Then find the month when the conception occurred. The month list can be found in the left side of the chart. Then find the right point where the correct row and column intersect. At the intersection you will see a letter B or G that represents a boy for B and a girl for G. The modern version of it is available but in the form of generator of prediction. The way it works is more advanced than the ancient chart. The generator of prediction uses the actual conception date and also the mother’s actual birthday into account, not only the years and the months that the event occurred so that it might be more accurate in term of prediction. However, some of them use lunar month and Chinese lunar month. If using lunar month, you should convert it first. But some generators already convert your lunar month birthday automatically. Remember, no one guarantees that this method is really accurate. However, most people who have already tried this method said that the result is accurate.
